Operate Overview

The Operate section covers everything involved in running the Ververica platform itself: installation and upgrades, configuration, access control, monitoring, private network connections, and (for paid plans) billing.

The content here is primarily for operators and platform administrators, not application developers. If you're building streaming applications, the Develop (/develop/overview) and Deploy (/deploy/overview) sections are where you'll spend most of your time.

Install and Upgrade has separate paths for each deployment model. Configuration covers platform-wide defaults, secrets, and advanced tuning. Access Control covers authentication, authorization, API tokens, and workspace management. Monitoring covers metrics and observability for the platform and its deployments.

Operators of self-managed deployments will also find content specific to Kubernetes operator configuration, namespaces, backups, audit logs, and other platform-level operations under Platform Operations.
